Why should I take a foundation course? 2017-10-05T08:56:20+00:00

We believe that technology and innovation are radically transforming finance and open up an era of exciting opportunities.

Our mission is to build the best education platform for Finance 2.0 so that as many people as possible can benefit from these opportunities – whether they work in a financial institution, startup, tech company, are a student or just interested in finance.

Why a foundation course?

Finance is going through what advertising experienced 10 years ago: can someone thrive in advertising today without understanding digital? The same is happening in finance.

We’ve had feedback from hundreds of people (literally hundreds) who share this view, and want to understand, but find the world of Fintech very confusing – too much information, too many concepts, too much hype also.

A foundation course gives the base of knowledge from where to start from, and it’s more important than ever to have this solid foundation to understand what’s happening in finance.

What will I learn in the course? 2017-10-08T09:22:00+00:00

You will learn a lot in a structured way, and at your own pace. You can find the full curriculum here.

Will the course teach me to code? 2017-10-01T21:14:41+00:00

Around Fintech in 8 hours is a core foundation course, and will not teach you to code in Python or how to use R. We will however cover the main technological trends – such as APIs, Blockchain or Cloud Computing – for you to understand what lies behind them, and their impact on finance.

How do I access Around Fintech in 8 hours? 2017-09-29T17:08:33+00:00

The access is through my.cfte.education with the login/password created at registration. You can access the course on a desktop or mobile – you just need an Internet connection.

How much time do I need to take the course? 2017-10-01T20:57:47+00:00

Completing the Foundation course takes around 8 hours. The course is structured in 16 modules of 30 minutes, and you can take the course at your own pace – either in one go, or over a period of several weeks or months. The course is available for 6 months from the start date.
